Alice had always been afraid of mirrors. She couldn't explain it, but every time she looked at her reflection, she felt like someone or something was watching her. Her fear only grew worse when she moved into her new apartment, which had a large, antique mirror hanging in the hallway.
At first, she tried to ignore it, but the longer she lived there, the more she noticed strange things happening whenever she passed by the mirror. Her reflection seemed to move on its own, and sometimes she saw a shadowy figure lurking behind her in the glass.
One night, Alice woke up to the sound of scratching coming from the hallway. She cautiously stepped out of her bedroom and saw that the mirror had cracked, revealing a dark, ominous void behind it. She felt a cold breath on the back of her neck and heard a faint whisper.
Alice turned around to see a shadowy figure standing behind her. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and its fingers reached out to touch her. She tried to scream, but no sound escaped her throat.
The shadowy figure spoke, its voice echoing in her mind. "You are mine now. Forever."
Alice tried to run, but she was trapped in the apartment with the shadowy figure, which seemed to be growing stronger with every passing moment. She knew she had to destroy the mirror to stop it.
As she grabbed a hammer to smash the mirror, she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the glass. Her eyes had turned pitch black, and she realized that the shadowy figure had already taken control of her.
Alice smashed the mirror, shattering it into a million pieces. But it was too late. The shadowy figure had already claimed her soul.
From that day on, her apartment remained empty, except for the shattered remains of the antique mirror. No one wanted to rent it, as they could hear strange whispers and scratching noises coming from the hallway, and they knew that the shadow in the mirror was still lurking, waiting for its next victim.
The End.
